Test

  1. Disconnect the 4P connector (A) from the brake pedal position switch (B).

  2. 1 2 3 4 AB
  1. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.

  3. If the test results are not as specified, do the Brake Pedal and Brake Pedal Position Switch Adjustment, then recheck.
    If the results are still not as specified, replace the switch.


Replacement

  1. Remove the driver's dashboard undercover.

  1. Disconnect the 4P connector (A) from the brake pedal position switch (B).

  2. ABCD
  1. Turn the brake pedal position switch 45° counterclockwise to remove the switch from the pedal bracket (C), then remove the attaching piece (D).

  1. Install a new switch in the reverse of order removal.

  1. Do the Brake Pedal and Brake Pedal Position Switch Adjustment.
